(listen)
sounds by Tad Neuhaus
and Joanna Dane
If you go to Peabody Park
on the Fox River in Appleton
and walk north along the shore,
past the apartments, through the gate,
and beyond the cemetery fence,
past the apartments, through the gate,
and beyond the cemetery fence,
there you will find the grottos.
Built by priests of Monte Alverno
rock by rock during the depression,
they stand, like ghosts,
blank-faced.
Now they are occupied
by installations and soundscapes
of strange folk.
Take a grotto walk today.
4-8pm.
